CFED wants General Election results for Prop "A" thrown out
As promised, the special interest group The Citizens for Economic Diversity is suing to throw out the Proposal "A" results from the Decision 2004 General Election and to force the Government of Guam to hold a special election on the issue of legalizing casino gaming in the territory. CFED spokesperson Jay Merrill filed the class action lawsuit yesterday, requesting a declaratory judgment on the legality of the results of the November 2 election.
COPA angered over CFED's lack of filing financial disclosures with GEC We previously reported several Decision 2004 mayoral, vice-mayoral, and senatorial candidates have failed to file financial disclosure forms with the Guam Election Commission by Monday's 5pm deadline. As it turns out, the Citizens for Economic Diversity has also not turned in a financial disclosure report, although there appears to be confusion on when (or even if) CFED must turn in the report.
