Ken Wetmore joined the News Team in March of 2002. Starting off as KUAM's education beat reporter, Ken was soon anchoring Late Edition and less than year after joining the News Team he was promoted to PrimeTime, which he Co-Anchors with
Sabrina Salas. Along with his anchoring responsibilities, Ken
covers Guam's always fascinating political scene as well as the military.
While he was born in Washington D.C., if you ask him, Ken will tell you he's from North Carolina. A true-blue Tarheel, Ken grew up in Hendersonville, North Carolina from the age of 3, until he graduated from high school.
In 1999, Ken graduated from Southern Adventist University, in Collegedale, Tennessee with a degree in Public Relations. While in college Ken spent a year abroad in New Zealand, was Student Association President, and received the School of Journalism and Communication’s top award.
Ken’s favorite thing he got out of his college experience however was his lovely wife, of five years, Rachelle. Ken and Rachelle just had their first child, Kyla Hope, on March 17th of this year and Kyla is the apple of her daddy's eye.
Ken is an active member of the Managuiya Fellowship Seventh-day Adventist Church, loves to read, plays several instruments, and enjoys playing Rugby, softball, and tennis in his spare time.
