KUAM.COM RSS Feeds
Free content for your newsreader!
What are RSS feeds?
RSS is a specific structure for eXtensible Markup Language (XML), an interchange format
used to send data across the Internet. An RSS feed lists a web site's content. It
is updated whenever new content is published to the site. RSS aggregator programs
"subscribe" to RSS feeds, which means they download lists of stories at an interval
that you specify (like once per hour), and display them for your reading.
RSS feeds exist for all kinds of information - stock & financial data, weather
reports, news stories, magazine articles, and much more. All feeds will have a link
back to the web site, so if you see a headline, blog post, podcast, multimedia exhibit
or story you like, you can click on the link for that piece of content and will be
taken to the web site to read it.
(Just keep an eye out for the little orange links on KUAM.COM - )
What do I need to access an RSS feed?
You'll only need a program to aggregate content and display it. You can find
several good RSS aggregators at http://www.itopik.com/newsreaders/
