Cost-U-Less Guam has reportedly purchased the chain's first grocery outlet, as the warehouse retailer is taking over the operations of Hita Supermarket in Chalan Pago. The hita store, he said, would be a smaller retail concept to carry predominantly food, general merchandise, groceries and bakery and deli goods.

Cost-U-Less would be looking to locate other stores on Guam and in the region. The purchase follows the official acquisition less than a month ago of Cost-U-Less by the North West Company, a retailer of food, clothing, household and other products and services.
