It's official: the George Washington Lady Geckos made history last night winning their fourth consecutive title at the UOG Field House. GW beat the surprising Guam High Panthers, who scrapped their way to this year's title game.
GW took the 1st set 25-9 using their experience to guide them through the set along with help from Jyvina Pangelinan, who was on point. The second set started off with GW taking an 11-1 lead, as Pangelinan and the rest of the geckos seemed to feel it on defense and not get out of position.
GW took the set along with the title with the 25-15 2nd set win.
In the consolation match, the Notre Dame Royals beat the St. John's Knights in straight sets, 25-21, 25-6 for this year's 3rd place finish.
