The wind and rain from Supertyphoon Nida that thankfully has passed Guam didn't put a damper on today's festivities at the Chamorro Village. The Salvation Army and more than a hundred volunteers hosted the 13th Annual Thanksgiving Day Luncheon that drew hundreds of the island's homeless and less fortunate filling their stomachs and giving them canned goods.
Captain Tom Taylor told KUAM News, "We have a slogan that says 'The Need Knows No Season'. But this time of the year it seems the need is more exacerbated it's more sensitive because people are thinking about the holidays, the festivities, and they begin to think about the things perhaps they don't have and we just like to alleviate that and make their holidays a little brighter."
