GUAM - Local attorney David Lujan was granted his request to have a defamation lawsuit he filed against a California law firm and others heard in the Superior Court where he initially filed the suit. District Court Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood found that the defendants, Girardi Keese, attorney Graham Lippsmith, Roger Slater, Grant Thornton and the JLH trust failed to meet the burden of providing that the parties were fraudulently joined.

Lujan's suit now heads back to the Superior Court. As KUAM reported the California law firm represents Junior Larry Hillbroom, the son of former DHL owner Larry Hillbloom, who contends Lujan and others received millions more through retainer fees than he claimed he knew about.
