Guam - Reacting to Senator Matt Rector's resignation from the 30th Guam Legislature is Eloy Hara, who believes its not over just yet.  Hara argued that the Guam Election Commission failed to do its job by allowing Rector to become a senator. Hara says he only pushed the system, as he felt it was failing, and believes it will be an eye-opener for future elected officials that proper procedures are followed.

"Now that we have proven beyond any doubt that he had a formal burglary conviction; it is a conviction of moral turpitude.  There's still two issues left - one is fradulating [sic] the affidavit for him to run for senator, and the affidavit when he applied for a concealed weapons permit."

Hara hopes the Attorney General's Office continues to pursue the investigation, as he feels rector broke Guam law.
