Guam - The Miller Football League is back and is strong as ever, with four teams taking to the field behind the University of Guam Field House. The season kicks-off on Saturday with the Cars Plus Rams taking on the Pepsi Warriors at 2:30pm.

James Castro Marketing Manager for MidPac told KUAM News, "Fans can expect some all out grid iron action; fans can also expect to have a great time. Families friends, if you don't have anything to do on Saturdays and Sundays this is the place where you need to be at. It's going to be a lot of action. This Saturday we have the Rams taking on the Warriors and on Sunday we are going to have the DOCOMO Chargers versus the Shell Hal's Angels.

"And when you're talking about these teams we're talking about 50 big guys on each team out on the field going at it. I mean it's going to be fun, it's going to be exciting, concessions we have food, drinks. Everyone just hanging out having a good time and watching some great local amateur football action because ladies and gentlemen the MFL is back."

This year's season opens the door to the expansion of the league with Saturday games being shot and televised. The MFL is looking at bringing as much exposure to the league by drawing in more fans through tickets being inserted into every 12-pack of Miller Lite. So hit the stores and buy Miller Lite and get 2 free tickets to watch the games.

Charles Churchill, MFL president, said, "The focus is just getting the league started back again. Getting everybody reintroduced to miller football and hopefully next year we are going to grow the league to six teams. We have a lot of interest and I think some teams are cutting players because there so much interest in the league this year. So hopefully we can expand next year so everyone can play.

"With the military buildup and everything I think we won't have any problems finding players. We are looking for the next hot new superstars, it's a great chance for people to come out play ball, shine and their family can watch them on TV playing and it's almost like an NFL experience."
