Guam - Republican Governor Felix Camacho had a much different reaction than Democrat Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo's on the passage of the health care legislation by Congress today, saying the needs of Guam along with the other 4,000,000 Americans in the U.S. territories were ignored.

He said, "The legislation does not address the concerns of Guahan and her people, and fails to provide equal treatment in Medicaid and Medicare. Additionally, the bill falls short in including Guahan into health insurance exchanges, and only exacerbates the disparities in federal healthcare policy affecting our island and the other insular area governments."

During the vote today, Republicans were unanimous in opposition, joined by 34 dissident Democrats.
