Guam - As Lieutenant Governor Mike Cruz signed a pair of proclamations dealing with health care issues, he also commented on President Barack Obama's signing of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law, which overhauls healthcare in the country.

Said Cruz, "What remains to be seen is how this will affect us individually here on Guam through either extra funding for Medicaid or any other federal funds to ensure that, as an example, our current Compact impact agreements and how is that going to be focused." 

Cruz meanwhile declared April as Public Health Awareness Month.
