Leon Guerrero makes big changes within GPD
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - Just two days on the job, Acting Police Chief Ricardo Leon Guerrero has already made changes in the Guam Police Department. A total of 19 people were shuffled around the agency.
GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says the transfers are inline with the acting chief's plans on moving his staff to areas he feels they're needed. Since it is a personnel issue, he could not disclose specifics.
KUAM News, however, has confirmed among the transfers that take effect Sunday are Captain Kim Santos and Lieutenant Joe Carbullido, who ran the Criminal Investigation Division and were in charge at the time the search warrant was executed at KUAM's newsroom.
Officer Balajadia adds there may be additional transfers in the future should the acting chief deem them necessary.
