Guam - The Guam Election Commission is trying to get a hold of some 30+ officials who didn't to show up for work during the Decision 2010 Primary Election.  GEC Executive Director John Blas says he wants those individuals to come in and provide statements. He plans to forward their names to the attorney general for possible legal action.

Violating a sworn oath is a misdemeanor.  The GEC is giving those individuals an opportunity to provide a valid excuse - then those names are going to the Attorney's General Office.  "The board has directed to me to have these individuals come in and provide us with a statement about why they didn't make it to work on Election Day, as well as eventually moving forward in some type of action against them not showing up," he confirmed.

In the meantime, the GEC is still looking for 12 more precinct officials. For more information you can contact the GEC at 477-9791.
