Guam - The Guam Academy of Charter Schools Council held its regular monthly meeting today at the University of Guam's Dean Circle in Mangilao. With only a few more weeks left for the Camacho Administration, members discussed the submission of courtesy resignations and reapplying for a seat on the council.

Chairperson Rosa Palomo told KUAM News, "My understanding with all resignations in all of the councils and commissions that I've been a member of [is that] the courtesy resignation goes in, but until I actually get replaced I still serve. So we still serve until we get replaced."

While the council has received numerous applications to create charter schools on island, the group has only approved one application - that being one submitted by the National Institute for Direct Instruction.
