Guam among top destinations for Japanese
Guam - Guam has emerged as one of the top five Asia-Pacific destinations for travelers from Japan, according to the Visa-Pacific Asia Travel Association's Asia Pacific Travel Intentions Survey of 2010. When asked to name the destination these travelers would likely visit in the next two years, 17% named Australia, followed by Korea with 15% and Guam with 10%.
Japanese travelers are likely to stay at three-star hotels and are likely to spend, on average, more for good food and opportunity to experience new cultures. A majority of those plan their holidays three to six months in advance.
