Guam - The appointment for Department of Parks & Recreation director Pete Calvo expired yesterday. Oversight chair Senator Tina Muna Barnes says she did not move forward with the confirmation process because she says the law requires the agency's board to approve the nomination before it is sent to the Legislature.

The problem, Barnes admits, is she is still waiting for a complete list of nominations from Adelup to sit on the board. Barnes says she does support Calvo to lead the agency.

The Governor's Office is currently reviewing the matter.
