Program Director / Affiliate Relations Coordinator

Looking for an opportunity to work with the region’s premiere media group affiliated with America’s top two networks - NBC and CBS?

KUAM Communications has an immediate opening for an administrative professional for the position of Program Director/ Affiliate Relations Coordinator for our Nationally affiliated broadcast station group.  The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include: 

Preparing weekly schedules for the stations and networks of KUAM.

• Working with programming and marketing teams at NBCUniversal,Peacock, CBS and other third party producers as well as KUAM local productions to create daily schedules including live programs, time shifted programs, and local productions . 
• Coordinating and creating promotional campaigns for network and local programming to include topical programs,premieres,etc. on various platforms including social media, weekly email newsletter and house broadcast commercials(Calculating program lengths and assigning commercial advertisements and promotional materials to be inserted into programming.)
• Distributing information to all appropriate personnel associated both within our organization and with necessary affiliated associates. Work internally with Sales and Marketing, News, and Master Control to develop schedules and tackle logistical problems as necessary.
• Compile quarterly program reports for the FCC.
• Performs clerical functions as needed.
• Working with sales and marketing team on putting together sales promotion kits and proposals
• Overseeing KUAM Communications social media (on facebook and instagram).

Experience in Television and radio programming is a plus but not mandatory.  The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Office, Excel, Google Sheets, and/or other spreadsheet software. Basic knowledge of graphic design platforms such as Canva a plus.

Must be a self starter with a good attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box. Position is full time and primarily M-F 9am to 5pm, but the ideal candidate is open to flexible hours with willingness to be accessible for logistical problem solving as needed.
