Judiciary announces Mock Trial Champion Team and Courtroom contest winners

After months of preparation and a high-stakes courtroom showdown, Father Duenas Memorial School claimed the championship title at the Guam High School Mock Trial Competition, defeating Okkodo High School in the final round held Dec. 9, 2025, at the Supreme Court of Guam.
The championship round concluded a season of preparation and advocacy by student competitors from schools across the island.
In addition to the mock trial team competition, the Judiciary of Guam recognizes the following students for their achievements in the Courtroom Artist and Courtroom Journalist contests:
- First Place Courtroom Artist: Jasmine Russe, Guam High School
- First Place Courtroom Journalist: Payton Duenas, Academy of Our Lady of Guam
The Mock Trial champion team, along with the first-place Courtroom Artist and Courtroom Journalist, will represent Guam at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Des Moines, Iowa, from May 7–9, 2026.
They will compete alongside state and territorial champions from across the nation in one of the country’s premier civic education events.
The Judiciary of Guam commends all participating students, coaches, teachers, attorneys, and volunteers for their dedication to promoting legal education, critical thinking, and public speaking through the Mock Trial program.
