Today, the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce shined the spotlight on leadership with purpose at its February monthly meeting. The theme — Leading With Integrity And Influence — brought together some of Guam’s top female executives for a candid conversation about navigating leadership, building credibility, and showing up with executive presence.
The event features an executive presence panel with Pika Fejeran, CFO of Market Deli and Denanche Hot Sauce; Marilyn Roberto Borja, executive vice president of the Consumer Business Unit at Docomo Pacific; Trisha Mae Marquez, owner of La Mae’s Bake Shop; and Desiree Lizama, president of the Guam Contractors Association.
Panelists shared personal insights on overcoming challenges, earning trust in their industries, and leading authentically in today’s business climate. Marquez said, "To really build trust with a team, give them the tools, the skills and training that they need so even if I'm not present, they have the confidence."
"Leadership is at its finest what your frontliners, you need to get down with your frontliners, because I think that's where trust, and everything comes to play," Borja shared. And Fejeran commented, "I believe when the opportunity arose it only arose because you were ready. The opportunity wouldn't be there for you unless you were ready."
The February meeting continued the Guam Women's Chamber’s mission of fostering mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth among local female leaders.
