Woman on life support after Harmon crash
by Nick Delgado
Guam - A 24-year-old woman continues to fight for her life at the Guam Memorial Hospital. She along with a 28-year-old man were inside a 2006 Toyota Avalon when the man lost control of the vehicle and struck a concrete utility pole near the Bus Satellite on Harmon Loop Road. The collision happened around 1:50 Sunday morning.
GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says highway patrol is investigating the crash, adding, "They will continue to investigate the circumstances that led to that crash Sunday morning, they'll need to interview the operator when he is well enough to answer questions and if the passenger pulls through they will also question her."
A GMH nursing supervisor says the man is in stable condition today. Balajadia says police are looking into speed and alcohol as possible factors in the crash. He also advises motorists to drive with caution especially during the holiday season, as police will be stepping up traffic enforcement.
