Guam - Members of UOG F.I.T.E. Club formed a human chain along Marine Corps Drive in Yigo for President Obama's arrival last night. President Obama stopped in Guam at Andersen Air Force Base so that Airforce One could be refueled. Local leaders were not invited to meet with him.
Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo's office at 12:28 Sunday morning issued a press release stating the President was on Guam. The release stated she was not invited to any event for the President's brief stop and does not know if an event occurred. Bordallo however was invited
to ride back to DC with the President on board Airforce One, during which she stated she plans to discuss the military buildup as well as other unresolved Guam issues. Emails from KUAM to the White House Press Office regarding the President's visit were never answered.
