DPW gets positive preliminary road feedback
by Nick Delgado
Guam - Following Tuesday's laying of pavement on Route 17 in Yona, the Department of Public Works says preliminary feedback has been positive so far from the labs indicating several of Guam's road projects may finally be completed soon. DPW director Joanne Brown says she will wait on the final numbers but by Tuesday next week contractor Sumitomo Mitsui Construction along with subcontractor Hawaiian Rock Products should complete paving on the rest of Route 17.
Favorable test results are needed in order to address the friction course material and allow for the final coating on the road.
