Bio:
Doris Flores Lujan (Familian Cabesa/Capili/Liberatu) was born and raised in Inalahan.  She is the daughter of the late Maria Flores Lujan known as "Mariquitan Luling" and had one brother, the late Joseph Frederick Flores Lujan, fondly known as "Freddy." Doris graduated from George Washington High School in 1965.  She went on to work for the federal government at Andersen Air Force Base where she served as the Base, Wing and Communications Squadron Commander's Secretary for 20 years and 22 years as the Base Records Manager, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Manager and Privacy Act (PA) officer. She also served As Deputy, Base Information Management, overseeing the overall operation of the Base Publications Distribution Office, Base Reproduction Branch, Base Records Management Branch, and Military Postal Service Center.
 
Doris spent much of her distinguished career taking on special projects to include investigation boards, documentation and historical reports of post typhoon damages such as super typhoon Pamela, the evacuation of refugees from Vietnam in " Operation New Life" in 1975, Department of Defense civilian employees and their dependents from the Philippines in "Operation Fiery Vigil" in 1990 and the Iraqi Kurds in "Operation Pacific Haven" in 1996.
 
During her career she was the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding service including: Headquarters Air Force Outstanding Career Service Award; Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), "Communications and Information Management Professionalism" Award (1989, 1995, 1999); Team Andersen "Federal Woman of the Year (Civilian Category IV)", 2002; and, "Outstanding Performer," Headquarters, PACAF Inspector General Inspection, 2007.
 
Although Doris retired after 42 years of distinguished service as a civil servant, she continues to devote her time in support of nonprofit and volunteer organizations and events such as the Guam-Micronesian Games, Guam Special Olympics, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Guam Jungle Bell 4K Run and Walk and World Aids Day. Doris also serves as an Extraordinary Minister for Saint Joseph Church.
 
Doris is now prepared to further her commitment to serve our island as a candidate for Mayor of Inalahan focusing on improving the quality of life for all village residents.  Her platform includes upgrading village infrastructure, rebuilding/restoring and repairing public facilities such as the Inarajan pool and boat ramp, as well as the expansion of services for the manamko, veterans and persons with disabilities in her village.
