Guam - Prominent local attorney David Lujan found himself on the opposite side of the witness stand today.  Lujan is accused of being a nuisance to his neighbor, Debbie Quinata, and causing emotional and physical distress due to arguments over their properties and the easement nearby.

Quinata previously testified that she believes their friendship changed when Lujan blamed her for calling historic preservation officials to the property to investigate the unearthing and disturbing of ancient artifacts. The attorney had a different reason for why the two got into a dispute. Lujan claims Quinata would offer to cook him food and would regularly drop food to his law office despite his refusals.

He went on to testify that sometime in 2001 or 2002, Quinata visited his office and said she couldn't sleep at night because she kept thinking of him.  Lujan claims he rejected her, saying he was happily married and "couldn't do that" to his wife.  He testified that Quinata then began putting up barriers to block access to his property.

The attorney spent the afternoon reviewing Quinata's photos that show what she alleges is the damage Lujan caused to her property when he was clearing his land.  Lujan is seeking monetary damages for Quinata encroaching on his property with compensating him.

Lujan will take the stand again on Friday when the trial resumes.
