Guam - As August has been declared Child Support Enforcement Month, Bill 503 has been introduced. The legislation would extend child support past the age of 18. According to the measure a child would still receive child support up until 19 years of age. Also introduced is Bill 504, which would authorize unclaimed and undistributed child support payments to be reallocated to the Attorney General's Child Support Enforcement Division to update and enhance its vital services including the procurement and maintenance of a new child support computer system.  Currently an estimated $5 million worth of undistributed child support checks remain in an interest bearing bank account.
