The Guam Department of Labor is reminding employers that new signage under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act must be displayed within 90 days.

The law applies to employers with 15 or more employees and requires reasonable accommodations for pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions — unless it would cause undue hardship.

Businesses must post a visible PWFA notice in a format approved by GDOL's Fair Employment Practice Division and place it in a conspicuous location. Inspectors may conduct site visits to ensure compliance.

Employers who fail to post the required notice may face civil penalties.

Full enforcement of the signage requirement begins May 28, 2026.
