Oxygen supply disruption
Despite disruption, GMH's operations remain stable
The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority is taking precautionary steps following an islandwide disruption in liquid oxygen supply caused by equipment issues with the island’s primary supplier. Hospital officials say they are closely managing oxygen use and temporarily rescheduling elective surgeries to prioritize patients with the greatest need.
Despite the disruption, GMH says operations remain stable. Interim CO Dr. Joleen Aguon also addressed circulating misinformation, confirming she has not resigned and continues to lead hospital operations and response efforts.
The hospital says patient care continues without interruption as teams work with island partners to monitor the situation and maintain stability.
Officials urge the community to rely on official updates for accurate information.
