A long-awaited boost to public safety in the central area is now taking shape, as leaders break ground on Sinajana Fire Station 2, marking a critical investment in faster response times, stronger emergency services, and safer communities across the island.

The dirt was turned for Sinajana Station #2, located next to the Guam Police Department's Central Precinct Command. Guam Fire Department Chief Daren Burrier said, "It is about honoring the past, investing in the present, and building a safer future for generations who will call Sinajana home."

Village mayor Robert Hofmann shared the same sentiment. He wanted to extend thanks to the GFD leadership, architects, engineers who helped envision the project. "I'm deeply proud to stand alongside our firefighters. Our village leaders, and our partners in government, and all of you who have supported the efforted from the very beginning. This new sinajana fire stations represents more than just concrete and steel, it represents commitment, to ensure every family that has an emergency whether it be in Sinajana, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Agana Heights, the City of Hagatna, Ordot-Chalan Pago, or anywhere on this beloved island, you will come."

"They've always risen to the occasion, and now it's our turn to rise for them."

Burrier reiterating to the men and women of the Guam Fire Department, "You're the reason why we are here. You show up everyday with courage, compassion, and heart. You run towards danger when others run away. You carry the weight of people's worse moments, on your shoulders and you do it with dignity.

"You deserve a station that reflects the level of service you provide. And today we begin building the future."
