It’s the end of an era in the heart of Tumon.

After 55 years, T-Galleria by DFS Guam closed its doors Tuesday, marking the end of a landmark that helped define Guam’s tourism industry.

For decades, the luxury duty-free retailer welcomed visitors from around the world, becoming more than just a shopping destination, but a symbol of Guam’s global connection.

The company announced its exit last December, gradually winding down operations and clearing its shelves in the final months.

But behind the brand, are the people.

More than 100 employees are now impacted, including many who dedicated years, some decades, of service.

Tuesday evening, the community gathered for a final farewell wave, lining the street one last time to honor the memories made inside those doors.

At 7 p.m. the lights went out, closing a chapter that helped shape Tumon as we know it.
