There was an incident at one of the northern emergency storm shelters, as Wednesday morning at around 11:30am, units with Guam Police Department's Dededo Precinct Command responded to a disturbance at Astumbo Elementary School.

Officers later finding that a fight had occurred between a sheltering family and individuals who went to charge their electronics at the school. One of those visiting individuals ended up sustaining a head injury after slipping and falling during the incident, and was later treated by a medic.

Members of the visiting group were later questioned by officers at the precinct, but were uncooperative and ended up leaving.

In the meantime, the sheltered family apparently also refused to cooperate and was ultimately removed by the school’s administrator.

GPD spokesperson Norman Analista says the case has been closed and forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General.
