Guam - Representatives from the University of Guam's Cancer Research Center recently presented their research at the 141st American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Exposition.  UOG adjunct research faculty Dr. Annette David and UOG student Lawrence Alcairo conducted a roundtable discussion of their research abstract and presentation entitled "Create - Community Outreach For Action Team - Guam: Empowering Youth to Drive Tobacco Control Policy." The discussion highlighted efforts by the UOG CRC to identify and better understand reasons for tobacco use disparities among Chamorro and other Micronesian youth.  It's estimated that one in four adults on Guam report using tobacco and Chamorros rank the highest in smoking and chewing tobacco.
