Guam - Department of Corrections director Jose San Agustin confirms he has issued notices of proposed adverse action against the two employees who were working at the time when accused murder Keith Garrido escaped from a transport van.  The agency as we reported said Garrido picked his lock with a staple and was able to jump out of the unlocked van.

During his brief escape he severely beat and bound a woman before being captured. San Agustin says he has been advised by the Attorney General's Office not to release information about the proposed adverse action in the interest of protecting the employees' rights to privacy.

He does say however once final adverse action is taken next week he will be able to release more detailed information.
