Judge denies motion for new Blue House trial
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - There won't be a new trial for former police officers who were found guilty for their role in the Blue House Lounge case. Former cops David Manila and Anthony Quenga were hoping their convictions would be thrown out and a new trial would commence after a former Blue House Lounge worker came forward, accusing the women who testified during their trial were lying about being forced to have sex with customers and being held against their will.
The judge found that the defendants didn't provide sufficient evidence to support a new trial or to reduce the kidnapping charges. The court still has a pending motion before it and will set a sentencing after disposing of that matter.
