The Guam Power Authority reports 99% of system load has been restored as crews continue post-typhoon recovery efforts.

Work is now focused on isolated pockets with extensive damage and completing emergency repairs that require customer-side fixes. Gpa says current peak demand has reached 240 mw—already exceeding projections—and is expected to rise.

Crews have been working in impacted areas including bordallo subdivision in yigo, maimai in ordot-chalan pago, balajadia street in yona, and parts of talo’fo’fo and inalåhan—some of which may already have service restored.

Gpa also thanked village mayors and the department of public works for helping clear heavy vegetation, a key step in restoring power.
