Guam - Exactly one decade ago, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) opened its Guam Computer Testing Center and administered the first computer-based CPA examination on island. Today, NASBA officials are on island to celebrate the Guam office's tenth anniversary. According to NASBA board chairman Carlos Johnson, the Guam office maintains the world's highest volume test center for the uniform CPA exam.
He told KUAM News, "The Guam Center provides us with an international presence and we also not only have the testing center, but we have the call center, so we're able to communicate with our applicants and candidates taking the CPA exam, 16 hours a day, providing them with professional answers to their various questions about the CPA exam."
The Guam Testing Center was founded in order to accommodate local Guam CPA candidates as well as to facilitate the high number of Asian students who were traveling to the US to take the exam. A banquet is being held this evening at The Hilton in celebration of the anniversary.
