As Guam prepares to mark 82 years since the island's liberation, the Office of the Governor has unveiled this year’s official theme and logo—centered on honor, resilience, and responsibility. The theme is now official—“Para I Onra, Para I Gloria”, meaning "For our honor, for our glory".

Leaders say the theme reflects not just remembrance of 1944, but a call for future generations to carry that legacy forward. The design features a traditional CHamoru sakman guided by stars—symbolizing strength, direction, and hope—alongside intertwined sails representing unity between Guam and the United States.

Silhouettes of the Guam Insular Guard and U.S. servicemembers also highlight the sacrifices made to secure the island’s freedom.

More details on Liberation Day events, including commemorations and the annual parade, are expected in the coming weeks.
