The Guam Police Department has identified the victim in Saturday morning’s fatal auto-truck crash in Tamuning as 31-year-old Christopher Jacobie Lennon Robinson II.

According to GPD, the crash happened around 4 a.m. on Route 1 near McDonald’s and involved an SUV and a garbage truck.

Investigators say the garbage truck was making a right turn into the McDonald’s driveway when the SUV traveling behind it struck the rear end of the truck.

Robinson, who was a passenger in the SUV, was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The SUV driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Guam Regional Medical City. The two occupants of the garbage truck were not injured.

Police say speed and impaired driving are being considered as possible factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Robinson is Guam’s second traffic fatality of 2026.
