The Port Authority of Guam celebrates its 43rd anniversary this week. The kick-off event included the traditional parade of tractors and trucks. The Port also honored its distinguished pioneers and recent retirees.

They included KUAM's Helen "Island Girl" Aguon who retired from her position as Marine Traffic Controller last month after 26 years of service. Our congratulations to Helen!  T

he Port has scheduled a series of events to celebrate more than four decades as our primary port of entry. 

An estimated 90 percent of all cargo brought in to Guam is cleared through the commercial port.
