Former Gov. Eddie Baza Calvo and former Public Auditor Doris Flores Brooks have been appointed by President Trump to key posts within his administration.

In an announcement from the White House today, Calvo and Brooks were appointed to the President's Advisory Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islanders. They join 13 others who were likewise tapped to be on the commission.

The commission was established through an Executive Order the President signed in May to empower Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to improve the quality of their lives, raise the standard of living of their families and communities, and to more fully participate in the nation's economy.
