Hospital Planning Task Force members named
Speaker Tina Muna Barnes has appointed Sens. Wil Castro and Amanda Shelton, as well as registered nurse Ruth Gurusamy to the Hospital Planning Task Force.
The task force was created by the recent enactment of law authored by republican minority leader Sen. Telo Taitague. The task force would study the development of a new public hospital facility. Senator
Taitague says with more than $200 million worth of repairs needed to rehabilitate the current Guam Memorial Hosptial facility the option of building a new hospital, instead, will certainly require a transparent decision-making process, proper planning, and broad community support.
