Guard begins decontamination training for isolation facility
And while officials continue to stress that Guam remains "coronavirus free," they're still preparing for the worst.
The Guam National Guard Civil Support Team is providing decontamination training to Guam Memorial Hospital staff who will be working at the Skilled Nursing Unit. The SNU has been identified as the isolation facility for any confirmed cases of COVID-19. First
Sgt. Anthony Cruz is one of the trainers.
"For them to be able to have the knowledge and awareness for decontamination techniques and procedures that they may possibly find useful and applicable to what they do so that we limit the spread of COVID-19," he said.
More decontamination training will be held at the Guard Readiness Center for other health professionals and first responders through the weekend.
