JIC: more closures, changes in operations
The Joint Information Center has listed more changes to government and other agencies.
Also, if you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please call your health care provider. You can also call these numbers to speak with a registered nurse: (671) 480-7859; (671) 480-6760/3; (671) 480-7883. Testing for COVID-19 is ONLY available for people who meet the testing criteria. For those who meet PUI criteria and without insurance, testing is available through a doctor’s order, and fees will be waived.
Department of CHamoru Affairs
The Department of CHamoru Affairs confirmed the Guam Museum and the CHamoru Village will be closed for the next fourteen days. CHamoru Village merchants and Wednesday night vendors are not to operate for the next 14 days and shall await further instructions thereafter. Guam Museum will cease operations except for museum security and periodical maintenance checks throughout the day.
Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association
The Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association advised their office will be closed for the next 14 days. All GHRA meetings are canceled until further notice.
Guam Solid Waste Authority
The Guam Solid Waste Authority Transfer Stations are closed.
The Guam Public Library System
All operations, programs and events will be canceled at the Hagåt?a Main Facility along with the Archival Center in Barrigada as well as the other Branches in Agat, Merizo, Yona and Dededo. All external meetings scheduled in Library meeting rooms will be canceled or rescheduled. Patrons will have two automatic renewals on library items that are eligible for renewal. Donations from the public will not be accepted at this time. GPLS is monitoring all information and guidance and re-evaluating its services daily. Department of Youth Affairs
The Department of Youth Affairs maintains essential operations and postpones upcoming Youth Month activities. Visitation for juveniles in custody will continue but are limited to phone calls and mail only until further notice. Parents/guardians can call 735-5022 and will be connected to the appropriate dormitory or mail letters to:

All three of DYA’s Youth Resource Centers in Dededo, Mangilao, and Agat, are closed until further notice. The upcoming Oratorical Contest on March 21, 2020 and Island Leadership Day on April 27, 2020 are postponed until further notice.
