On Saipan, resident Zoe Travis held a one-person protest yesterday in solidarity with those across the globe calling attention to the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. Today a dozen more residents joined Travis in a peaceful protest with signs stating "Black Lives Matter."

"This is not just a mainland issue. This is a human issue. And this is a global problem of systematic injustice and brutality by the police," she said.

Travis says that she plans to demonstrate every day this week and that “all lives can’t matter until Black lives matter.”
