Former Guam Gov. Eddie Calvo joined a national stage as a Trump surrogate with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden yesterday.

The digital town hall focused on Asian American and Pacific Islander Issues hosted by APIAVote on NBC Asian America. Biden and Calvo spoke in separate one–hour moderated discussion taking live questions related to healthcare, immigration, and economic recovery.

"While some might question or disagree with his style, the results speak for themselves," Calvo said. "Now, the clarity of what President Trump is all about, for me, was made manifest by one statement made at the rally. And I remember because it stuck to me, 'I am campaigning for the forgotten,' that is what he bellowed out."

Calvo also highlighted efforts related to the Compact of Free Association, reaction to the North Korea missile threats, and federal response to COVID–19. Speakers also noted that the AAPI community is the largest and fastest-growing minority group of voters.
