The General Manager of the Guam Solid Waste Authority is stepping down.
Larry Gast has advised the GSWA Board of his plan to retire. Board Chairman Andrew Gayle confirms that Gast has submitted his resignation, but that they are encouraging him to stay on until they can find a replacement. Gayle says the Board's regular monthly meeting is scheduled for tomorrow and they will discuss Gast's retirement. He says they will also get an update on GSWA's financial situation. Revenues have dropped as many businesses have reduced operations or shut down due to the pandemic.
