For its 49th anniversary, on Saturday, Bank of Guam branches will celebrate with "Founder's Day of Giving." Branches in Guam, the CNMI, RMI, FSM, Palau, and San Francisco will unite on March 13 for community cleanups and projects.

Joaquin P.L.G. Cook, the bank’s president and chief executive officer said they are looking towards the future with many opportunities as the bank enters its 49th year.

"This year’s plans provide a meaningful way for all of us to participate in our community - by connecting
with each other, our neighbors and our precious environment," he said. “We will be visiting four unique villages in Guam, all with different needs but with a singular purpose to drive impactful change."

The bank celebration on Guam Saturday will reach Yigo, Dededo, Tamuning-Tumon and Harmon as well as Malesso.

“The Founder’s Day of Giving Planning Committee has been working hard to make this one-day series of events successful, and our community participation caps off a great day of unity with each
other, our neighbors and our environment," Cook said. "But most importantly, it begins a series of Founder’s Days of Giving not only for that day, but throughout the year as we approach our landmark 50th Anniversary next year. As our Golden Anniversary approaches, Bank of Guam’s impact will be purposeful and heartfelt.”
