In line with our 340th Jubilee Celebration, the Holy See has granted us the Full Plenary Indulgence.  This is from May 1st to Dec. 8 of this year, 2021.

Hence, we invite and encourage the entire Faithful on the island to avail this once-in-a-lifetime Blessing and Grace.

In order to avail for the Full Plenary Indulgence, the following requirements need to be met:

  1. make a pilgrimage visit to the church of St. Joseph, Inalahan.
  2. go to Confession
  3. attend Mass and receive Communion
  4. pray for the intentions of the Holy Father

Furthermore, the elderly, the sick and those who cannot leave their home may also obtain the Full Plenary Indulgence. They must show sorrow for their sins and observe the three usual conditions, even as they spiritually unite themselves with the Jubilee celebrations and offer to God their own trials and sufferings.

In order to encourage our parishioners to avail the Full Plenary Indulgence, Confession will be made available 30 minutes before Mass or by appointment.

Important note for all faithful – Please observe wearing of masks and social distance protocols inside the churches. Hands must be sanitized upon entering the churches. When receiving Eucharist, please do not use gloves. As per the most recent executive order, Mass attendance restriction now lifted to no more than 75 percent of the church capacity. Please stay at home if feeling ill, have pre-existing conditions or have a high risk of illness.

Note – Archbishop Byrnes has lifted the general dispensation from attending Mass for all Catholics. As in ordinary times, all Catholics must now resume fulfilling their obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation.

Exceptions are given to those who are ill, have fragile health, are homebound or susceptible to contracting illnesses. Consideration is also given to those who have tremendous anxiety or fear of becoming sick from being in a public setting.
