GTA has been a proud longtime community partner of the USO for over 15 years, providing full telecommunication services including long distance, digital TV, high-speed Internet, landlines, and wireless not only at the Tumon center, but to Andersen Air Force Base and Naval Base Guam. But their generosity doesn’t stop there.

Last week, the local telecom company presented a $20,000 check to the USO. GTA communications manager Michele Catahay Perez says that it's their way of showing their appreciation to the local community, and that includes our military service members that have sacrificed so much.

"The USO has been so generous as far as keeping our service members connected to family, home, and country, and so that's really part of our mission as a local telecom company," said Perez.

As a local company, GTA is dedicated to keeping connections not only within the community, but between those that serve with their loved ones abroad.

"Because a lot of them are here. They need the connectivity to talk to their families, their loved ones. So, it's being a part of that connection is just really meaningful for us at GTA," she added.

Teleservices and monetary donations aren’t the only ways GTA has shown their appreciation to our military members. They’ve also hosted fundraising golf tournaments and supported the USO’s existing programs, such as 'coffee Connections'.

And the USO isn’t the only organization GTA shows the hafa adai spirit to. They provide in-kind services to non-profit organizations such as Harvest House and the Alee Shelter through their program empowered by GTA.

"It’s really a part of our overall mission to inspire the community, and really empower them," Perez continued.

There are also several military service members in GTA’s workforce, further strengthening the connection between the two entities.
