Forty-eight-year-old Raymond Reyes Cruz was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony after he allegedly inappropriately touched a 6-year-old female minor.

It was on May 12 that a relative of the minor met with GPD officers after she found a sexually explicit video on the minor's cell phone. According to court documents, when the relative asked the minor why she would make such a video, she said she learned it from Cruz.

When officers interviewed the minor, she told them that Cruz allegedly got naked in front of her but couldn't recall when it took place. When officers asked her if Cruz ever touched her, she said yes and recalled an incident when she was five years old. Documents state the minor said she was in bed trying to sleep when Cruz entered her room and inappropriately touched her.

When she got up and turned the light on, she saw Cruz who then apologized to her before leaving. Cruz was located and interviewed. He denied the accusations and invoked his silence.
