There's a third candidate throwing his hat in the race to be Guam's next attorney general.  Attorney Peter Santos spoke with KUAM News today about his decision to run as a write-in under the non-partisan race.

He is going up against incumbent AG Leevin Camacho and former AG Douglas Moylan.

Santos said, "I have been getting a lot of calls, especially from people that are currently working at the Attorney General’s Office, and they cannot, of course, come on the record. They don’t want either Doug or Leevin to sit as the attorney general."

"Not only do I speak up, I am putting that into action. I believe out of the three candidates that want to be AG that I am the most qualified based on my law enforcement experience, my military experience, my experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney. I am the only one that has been in the trenches," Santos added.

Reacting to the news about Santos, Moylan told KUAM News he really doesn't have a response, except that he will focus on the issues by running to be the toughest AG on crime, adding that he is the best option for voters.

We also reached out to AG Camacho and await a response from his campaign.
